ROGER CLEMENS CAN SHOCK THE WORLD...

The Red Sox!...The Blue Jays!...The Yankees!...The Astros!...The Mets??? If Mr. Clemens was into shock value, think about how he could change the course of baseball this season by simply deciding to come back to New York, this time with our beloved Mets! He is officially a free agent and can now also be signed by his previous club, the Astros. Consider this: he was Sox property in '86 when we beat them; the Yanks are our hated rival; the Astros are still angry about losing Beltran; not really anything to say about the Blue Jays; he will have a greater impact in the National League then he will in the AL; and finally, most people don't realize that Mr. Clemens was ORIGINALLY DRAFTED BY THE METS out of High School, where he would have been a teammate to Dwight Gooden, but changed history by deciding to go to college instead!!!! Now he has a chance to take everything back full circle, as Mets' fans can readily forget the entire Clemens-Piazza incident (ONLY, of course, were he to put on OUR NY logo!) Now if only we'd make an offer that would blow him away...
