Doing the rotation shuffle

Matthew Cerrone at Metsblog talks about the Mets rotation and the possibilities they have:

Tom Glavine will remain sidelined until the team has a better indication as to what is causing the numbness in his left ring finger…

As such, John Maine will move up to start on Tuesday against the Cardinals at Shea Stadium, followed by Steve Trachsel on Wednesday and Dave Williams on Thursday…

Pitching in place of Pedro Martinez against the Rockies on Saturday, Williams allowed three runs over 5.2 innings in his first start for the Mets…

…the odds-on-favorite to start in place of glavine this coming saturday, assuming he can’t go, seems to be Brian Bannister, followed by Oliver Perez.
