Fonzie and Perez

David Lennon at Newsday writes about Edgardo Alfonzo and Oliver Perezin Norfolk:

Edgardo Alfonzo went 2-for-4 with a solo homer and Oliver Perez had his best start since the July 31 trade that brought him to the Mets, striking out seven in six innings yesterday in Norfolk's 3-2 loss to Columbus. Alfonzo has hit safely in 13 of 14 starts, batting .360 (18-for-50) in that stretch to raise his average to .276.
