Mulvey's first start

Kevin Mulvey made his Double-A debut on Thursday and allowed two runs in three innings.

Mulvey, a product of Villanova, was the Mets' first pick in the 2006 draft, going in the second round. He's not expected to see the majors in September, but it's possible that he'll be called on at some point during 2007.
