Reyes's big night

Jose Reyes accounted for all the Mets' offense yesterday, hitting three home runs for the first time in his career.

Reyes hit two solo jacks against Phillies starter Randy Wolf and then a two-run blast into the upper deck against reliever Brian Sanches. The switch-hitting Reyes is the eighth Met to homer from both sides of the plate and seventh member in team history to smoke three dingers in one game. His first home run came on Wolf's first pitch of the game, marking Reyes' fifth long ball to lead a game off this season, tying the Mets' single-season record set by Kaz Matsui in 2004.
