Paulie's OK

Steve Popper at North Jersey writes about Paul Lo Duca and him getting hit in last night's game and leaving:

Paul Lo Duca took a ball off his left thumb in the eighth inning when Hernandez uncorked a wild pitch, injuring the same finger that has bothered him through much of the year. He stayed in the game and batted in the eighth, but left the game in the ninth and had X-rays, which showed no serious injury.

"I was a little worried," Lo Duca said. "I lightened up because I got X-rays and it was OK. I'll put ice on it and be ready to be in there tomorrow."
