Woody to get surgery

Chris Woodward plans to have surgery after the playoffs to repair a torn labrum in his left shoulder. The infielder expects he'll need three months to fully recover. The injury has bothered him for much of the season, with team officials aware of the trouble, though Woodward had withheld making the issue public.
