During yesterday's Norfolk game, Anderson Hernandez played shortstop and batted second (he is hitting over .400). What does this mean for his future? Is he going to be trade-bait? Obviously Reyes is our SS for a long time to come, as he grows into being the tone-setter for the team. Apparently the Mets believe Ahern is not our long-term (or short-term) solution at 2B and he is going to be packaged as a SS, where he has his most value, for a starter. We love his defense and are willing to wait it out to see if he can hit major league pitching, but apparently the organization is not. Well, Reyes-Ahern was a great defensive pairing while it lasted...
