Soler-Powered D-Backs Power Down Alay

In Alay Soler's second start, the Arizona Diamondbacks took no mercy on the rookie, lighting him up for 7 runs in 5 innings. Willie Randolph said Soler will get at least one more start to prove himself, which is a good thing because Brian Bannister was transferred to the 60-day disabled list today. The earliest BB could come back, it would seem, would be around the all-star break, so we really need Soler to come through at the back-end of the rotation, at least until Maine comes back. If not, it looks like Darren Oliver will be the next in line...getting old fast, folks!
