One Big Thing Missing From All-Star Game In Pittsburgh- WHERE WAS RALPH KINER???

"Pops", Willie Stargell, is deceased, sadly, or he would certainly have been a huge part of this past week's festivities in Pittsburgh for the All-Star Game. Bill Maz, another Pirates HOFer, escorted Ms. Clemente to the podium, and the 3rd of the Pirates 4 modern era HOFers was accounted for. The fourth person, one Ralph Kiner, still alive, kickin' and mangling names, was nowhere to be found at a time when his amazing talent should have been celebrated, one more (and hopefully, not last) time. Kiner was an amazing player with the Bucs & Indians, and to Mets fans, he was one-third of the legendary announcing team that we grew up listening to. As great as it was to have 6 Mets on the NL All-Star roster this year, it would have been far sweeter to see Mr. Kiner's legend showcased once more, deservingly, in front of a national audience. Baseball, and Pittsburgh, particularly, really blew it, in our opinion. What do you think? Let us know. And Ralph- you will ALWAYS be one of the all-time greats to us!!!!
