Glavine K's 7, PLD Homers, Mets Lose...

Can't win them all...Tom Glavine pitched a great game, allowing only 2 runs and striking out 7, and PLD hit a solo homer, but that was all we scored in losing the first of 3 to the Washington Nationals Friday night. PLD continues to raise that average, in contention for a spot in the top 5 hitters in the NL for the year if he keeps up this pace! It's too bad Glavine's effort was wasted, as this is the kind of game we've been waiting for him to pitch in quite some time...let's hope it's a taste of what's still to come from him! Still time to take 2 of 3 (again!)
