Pedro's replacements

Peter Botte at The NY Daily News writes about the possible replacements for Pedro during his stay on the DL:

The Mets are expected to summon either Oliver Perez or fellow lefty Dave Williams to take Martinez's next start, Saturday against Colorado.

Perez, obtained from Pittsburgh with Roberto Hernandez for Xavier Nady, appears the most likely in-house choice after throwing six strong innings Monday for Norfolk. Williams, picked up in a minor-league trade from Cincinnati in May, tossed six innings of three-run ball on Sunday.

Randolph said both Brian Bannister (eight shutout innings Tuesday for the Tides) and Mike Pelfrey, who's expected to come off the Triple-A disabled list this weekend, are "not in the mix" to replace Martinez.
