Pedro and Orlando

Pedro Martinez (calf) could resume throwing off a mound on Saturday.

"Pedro tossed today really, nicely and felt good. Maybe, hopefully, maybe, he will be on the mound on Saturday. Maybe," manager Willie Randolph said. "Don't hold me to it. ... Pedro might come out in the morning and say, 'You know what, I don't think I'll take the mound today. I'll do it tomorrow.'" Martinez is expected back in time to make three or four starts next month.

Orlando Hernandez felt good after his long toss session Thursday and is expected to start Sunday in Houston.

NL-only leaguers can play El Duque against the Astros. It's a pretty favorable matchup.
