Willie's thoughts on clinching soon

Kevin Fiorenzo at Mets.com writes about Willie Randolph and his opinion on clinching the East as soon as Friday:

With the division title looming ahead, manager Willie Randolph is focused on taking things one game at a time, though he acknowledged that it will be nice once they do clinch.

"Obviously, it'll be a special moment for all of us," Randolph said.

Randolph said before the game that he doesn't plan on doing much scoreboard-watching.

"Every once in a while, [I'll] glance at it," he said. "[But] I won't really pay much attention to it."
