Glavine On Fast Road To Recovery

Great news from Mark Hale in today's NY Post:

For today and Saturday, Tom Glavine's plan is to be throwing a baseball. Glavine, who had an angiogram on Monday, said yesterday he would play catch today and that his goal on Saturday is to throw a bullpen session.

Shooting to pitch next week, Glavine also said, "I don't want to go on the DL. If I do, I for sure can't pitch till next Friday if it's retroactive." Glavine thinks he can pitch earlier than that. He also wants to keep his no-DL-in-his-career mark intact.

We have 2 warriors on one team- Franco and Glavine! It's amazing that in almost 20 years of pitching, Glavine has yet to be on the DL!!! That, my friends, is a true road warrior!
