Chavez not Green

What’s going on with Shawn Green? In his short tenure with the Mets so far he is hitting .238 and has a worse fielding percentage that with the D-Backs. If he keeps this up through the rest of the season I want to say the Endy Chavez should get the starting role in right field.

Look at it this way, Endy is hitting .312 and has a fielding percentage of 1.00 versus .939 for Shawn Green. Endy can cover more ground as proven in last night’s game when he mad a spectacular catch in left center field that looked like it was going to drop in as a hit. He has earned the role with his clutch hitting and threat to steal.

Maybe I’m just jumping the gun here but I feel a lineup with Endy Chavez looks a lot more intimidating than one with Shawn Green.
